Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This policy explains what information EconSharp collects, how we use it, and which third-party services help us process it on your behalf.
Information We Collect
Account details you give us (name, email address, grade level, account type), and engagement data collected through the newsletter and website — opens, clicks, poll and survey responses, and basic device/IP data used to keep the service secure. We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive information like Social Security numbers, health records, or payment card numbers through the newsletter itself.
How We Use Your Information
To deliver the right daily edition to the right reader, personalize content by grade level, run polls and surveys, understand what's resonating so we can improve future issues, and communicate with subscribers about their account.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use a small number of vendors to process subscriber data on our behalf, each acting as a data processor under their own agreements with us:
- Beehiiv — sends the newsletter and hosts reader-facing pages (login, read-online links, polls, and surveys). Beehiiv processes subscriber name, email, engagement, and poll/survey data on our behalf.
- Supabase — stores account credentials and site data for econsharp.com.
- Resend — sends transactional emails, like welcome messages.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Children's Privacy & Parental Consent
EconSharp is written for students, including readers under 18. Where our sign-up flow identifies a younger grade level, we require parental consent before creating an account, and we encourage parents and guardians to be the ones who create and manage accounts — including any billing — for students under 18.
Data Retention & Security
We keep account and engagement data for as long as your account is active. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify affected subscribers without undue delay, consistent with our obligations to our subscribers and vendors.
Your Rights & Choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, update your account details from your account page, or request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us — see below.
